Seems Ms. Hillary was in town on election day. She had lunch (a cheesesteak, gotta keep the locals happy!) at Bocella’s on Fayette.
I have read a few articles on the event around the country. This one at USAToday is pretty funny. They called Conshy a “blue collar town” in Philadelphia suburbs. I would love to know where the writer came up with that one. Maybe he was did his research from 1980.
This one caught my eye as well. More of an article about the cliche Philadelphia Cheesesteaks. I’m surprised they didn’t talk about Rocky as well. Well, Conshohocken is mentioned – yes, Conshohocken (whatever that means…)
Well, we’ll take the good press with the bad.
I voted as well. Not particularly crowded at my polling place. I waited about 2 minutes. Chatted with Sandra Caterbone who is the Conshohocken Borough Council President. I’m going to have the Mayor of Conshy conduct my wedding ceremony in August so we were talking about that. I also wanted to clear it with her to get access to the Borough Hall to take some pictures. She said that would not be a problem, so it should be interesting. I’ll probably post some pictures when we are done.
Yeah blue collar….I drove past Bocella’s on Sunday and their breafast specials were outrageous! $9 omelets and $8 french toast. just make us laugh!
