According to Philadelphia Business Journal, Quaker Chemical is cutting 80 positions in the US and Europe. I did some research and this equals about 10 percent of the total workforce for the Conshohocken based company. I guess this is a result of the overall downturn in the economy. Quaker Chemical is continuing its stock dividend, which probably means cash reserves are good. Then again, Ford didn’t cut its stock dividend until about 2 years ago, so who knows.
