Conshohocken Planning Commision Meeting

March 6th, 2009 · No Comments · General, Real Estate

Councilman Jason Salus posted on his site today about the upcoming  Planning Commission meeting.  I became an active member of the Planning Commission starting in Jan, 2009.  Essentially, the Planning Commission reviews and makes recommendations to development, subdivisions, etc in the Borough.  We ask questions, make sure the changes fit within the Borough codes and ordinances.  Once final submissions are made to the Commission, we take a vote on the submission and send our recommendation to Borough Council.  Borough Council then has final say on the development.

So, if you have any interest in new development, subdivisions or just want to know what is going on with the overall development and planning for the Borough, attend the meeting.  They are held in Old Borough Hall, at 720 Fayette Street.

This months meeting has two agenda items that could be of interest to many residents:

  • Hammer Junk Yard site @ 2nd and Wood streets has submitted proposal to build condominiums on the site.
  • 312 West 4th Avenue has submitted proposal to demolish the existing structure, subdivide the property and build one twin home (2 homes).

If you have any comments, issues or questions regarding these items, please attend the meeting.
