Sorry for the long space between Conshy posts. My day job has me working my butt off. This on top of my 3 month old is making the more enjoyable aspects of life, like posting to this site, a bit more difficult.
There are couple of things that deserve separate posts and more in depth discussion, but I wanted to get some of the more pressing things out of my in-box before they expire from old age.
- Interesting article in the Inquirer on Lower Merion’s new direction to start building on the waterfront near the ‘Yunk. Generally, some new condos/apartments are being proposed by O’Neill that mimic the Conshohocken developments. Might be interesting.
- West Conshy cop was honored by the MontCo DA for his investigation of Constable Michael Solow. On a similar note, seems PA State Legislators are drafting a bill on reigning in the generally unsupervised actions of Constables in PA. Makes sense, considering the recent actions of some locals.
- Good to see a local company returning back to Conshy after they lost the HQ from the fire last year.
- Last but not least, Sandy Caterbone beat Anita Barton for the Democrat nomination for the 4th Ward. I know both Anita and Sandy well and both would have served well. Of course, the actual election will determine who serves. I live in the 4th Ward, so I’ll keep a close eye on the election.
I still have posts to make on the Conshohocken Fireworks (they are on!) and the recent accident on Fayette Street where the young girl was hit by a car. The father of the girl is a reader of this site and has provided info I’m going to post soon, just need to find the time.
